ChessFest Hull
10am-4pm, Sunday 12th July 2026
ChessFest returned to Hull in July for a day of fun, family-friendly, free chess activities. From young to old, beginner to grandmaster, ChessFest Hull had something for everyone. Our amazing team were able to offer:
a children’s rapidplay tournament
plenty of chess sets available for members of the public to play casual games
the chance to test chess skills against HERCA experts
CSC tutors to advise people on how to improve their game
games broadcast on a giant screen
You can read more about the day here.
ChessFest Hull is jointly organised by Chess in Schools and Communities and the Hull and East Riding Chess Association. For more details of the event, please contact CSC Regional Coordinator for Hull, Chris Mathews.
